Field Report At Fitness
In this report, I will discuss my personal observational experience of a fitness club I attended and its impact on my overall life. I will provide my personal reflection and experience after observing Crunch fitness club in this essay. I selected the club because they are committed, jovial, welcoming, and dedicated to their fitness routine. I also chose to observe the club because I have been a member though watching from the treadmill.
The Crunch fitness club is based in Florida. I selected the club for my action research project given that I have been a member of the gym club, although watching from the treadmill area. The club has a welcoming spirit whereby members receive visitors wholeheartedly. In addition, the boxing fitness group also has the fun of doing their fitness exercises. The instructors are well skilled and offer quality instructions to new visitors on participating in various practices. The club also has guest privileges which include an appeal of perks for new members.
The gym is also well established with modern instruments and equipment that make training seemingly easy. In addition, I selected the club due to its location. The club is near my home that made it easier for me to access it. This allowed me to have several workouts any time I visited the club. The location of the club being near my home made it more convenient for accessibility purposes. As already mentioned, the group has quality facilities that include a clean environment, spacious area to exercise, and forthcoming support staff. This offered a thrilling environment for boxing fitness training. The group has televisions available to entertain trainees during their workouts. Such factors influenced my decision to select Crunch gym club for my action research.
During my observation, I attended some activities in the group. Initially, I would only watch boxing from the treadmill area. However, I took part in boxing fitness classes. In these sessions, I learned various terminologies related to fitnesss and equipment or materials for required boxing fitness classes. I was supported on how to wear training garments, what a considered to be a gesture of kindness and unity among club members.
Attending boxing fitness classes had several thrilling experiences. First, the sessions were fun and joyful. Group club members and instructors were eager to welcome new members and show them how to participate in various boxing classes. However, it is important to note that this was my first time attending a boxing fitness session. I did not know the requirements and the terminologies used in the sessions. Additionally, I had never used gears for a boxing fitness class. However, one of the members was happy to help me put on the boxing gloves and showed me how it works. Throughout the boxing classes, I learned that the sessions take turns throughout the working exercise.
Given that this was my first session, I had no prior experience bringing it to the club. I did not know fitness club training sessions, making it difficult to catch up with the rest. The most memorable experience was the difficulties I encountered with various terminologies used in boxing fitness classes. At the start, I felt ashamed of not linking the unique terminologies to required practices. However, after attending some of the first few sessions, I understood the different jargons used and how to apply them when instructed. Overall, the sessions were thrilling as I learned new knowledge about boxing, fitness, and the terminologies used.
Observing and attending Crunch fitness club reinforced my previous assumptions and beliefs regarding boxing fitness exercises. For instance, I previously anticipated that boxing fitness should be fun and jovial. I also expected that boxing fitness sessions are highly social, whereby people can socialize and share freely amongst themselves. Such assumptions were proved because all members were social during the sessions, and everyone was allowed to mingle freely. The boxing fitness sessions had a lot of fun as people were happy to learn new boxing techniques. The jovial mood in the training rooms created a conducive environment for the trainees. All people were happy, motivated, inspired, and eager to participate in various activities. In addition, I believed that boxing fitness should have movement in some of the same ballet movements. The assumption was true given that there were movements in some of the same movements of ballet during the boxing fitness sessions. As already noted, the boxing fitness group meets weekly, and group members are welcoming and have a great time with each other. Throughout the sessions, I was able to meet new people and make new friends with unique abilities.
Despite the confirmation of my presumptions about boxing exercises, I had fear before attending the boxing fitness exercises. In particular, I had no prior knowledge to bring to the group, given that I had not attended a boxing club before. I anticipated this to be my key barrier to quick training to the adjustment of the club. Most important is the confirmation of the anxiety ahead regarding the terminologies used during the sessions. Given that I had no prior experience in boxing exercises, I found it challenging to grasp and memorize the terminologies used in various sessions. However, I was open to learning boxing terminologies, which made me grasp different terminologies and apply them during the exercise within the first few weeks of the session. Therefore, my fear was confirmed due to a lack of knowledge regarding terminologies and previous experience in boxing exercises. However, within the first few sessions, I focused on grasping various terminologies and perfectly apply them whenever required.
Important to emphasize is the passionate nature, dedication, and motivation that the group members had. During the training sessions, I learned that group members were internally motivated to participate in boxing fitness exercises. All members were punctual at all times. Members were also disciplined with their schedules and strictly adhered to the instructions given to them. The high discipline among group members surprised me greatly, given that it made the group to be ranked the best in the area. Every member was dedicated to their course of action with great precision. Consultations were open, and members were encouraged to seek clarification on how to perform certain activities. Such was a thrilling experience that I anticipate further attending another boxing fitness exercise at the club. I intend to bring my friends and family members to this fantastic club.
Overall, my experience at the club is not forgettable. First, I had no prior experience in boxing fitness exercises. However, after attending the first sessions, I was able to experience boxing exercises which boosted my self-esteem. In addition, by following the boxing fitness exercise, I learned boxing terminologies and how to apply them. This improved my boxing fitness understanding and the ability to use such terminologies in my future life, including introducing such words to my close friends. Lastly, the training sessions at the club provided a social environment that helped me meet new friends. At the end of the session, I learned new boxing terminologies and experiences, but I also formed a new friendship with members from different regions.
