How To Ballet Lame Duck
Lame Duck is a step up turn en dehors
When doing a lame duck do not step too far out. The reason is with a lame duck the supporting leg replaces the working leg. It is done beautifully if the dancer is not stretched to far. Think Down Replace. Working leg down, Supporting leg Replace.
Using Down- Replace will help when doing double lame duck. Going right up underneath yourself, Working leg Down, Supporting leg Replace.
Don’t lose your upper body.
Lame Duck is almost as an en dehors pirouette, the difference is dancer is stepping down and up.
